A few clear rules.

No account is required. Submitted videos and finished summaries are not private.

What we save

We store a video’s YouTube ID, title, creator, thumbnail URL, summary, source type, caption language, and creation time. We also store a hash of the source transcript to identify the input, not the full transcript itself. Completed summaries have public links.

How processing works

Video information comes from YouTube. A private worker retrieves captions directly and runs an AI model on our own computer. New transcripts are not sent to a third-party AI or transcript provider. The worker receives pasted transcripts over an encrypted connection and processes them in memory. Don’t paste private or sensitive information into the transcript field.

Pasted transcripts

Reader-provided transcripts wait in server memory for up to one hour and are processed in worker memory and are not stored as full transcripts. Their generated summaries have public links, but do not appear in the library or sitemaps. We request that search engines do not index these pages. Anyone with the link can still read them.

Basic operational information

We store a daily salted hash of your network address for rate limiting and delete those usage records after 31 days. Web-server and Cloudflare logs may include network addresses and request information for security and operations. We do not install advertising or analytics cookies.

External links and images

Video thumbnails load from YouTube’s image service. Opening a YouTube link takes you to YouTube, where its own privacy rules apply. Cloudflare provides DNS and web traffic protection for this site.
