A shorter route to the ideas

Every summary starts with the main answer, then the key takeaways and a fuller explanation. New summaries also look at products or services being promoted, and possible motives suggested by the transcript.

Paste a YouTube link on the homepage. If we already have its summary, you’ll go straight to the saved page. Otherwise, we retrieve available captions and use AI to summarize them. New requests depend on transcript availability and our processing capacity.

Read the notes. Keep the context.

These pages summarize what a video says. They do not independently fact-check it, inspect video frames, or replace the creator’s original work. Automatic captions and AI summaries can both make mistakes. Each page links to the original video so you can hear the full explanation.

A library that stays useful

Completed summaries have permanent URLs and appear in our searchable library. Different links to the same video lead to the same saved caption-based summary. Trending shows the pages with the most recorded reads on 2LDW, counted from September 24, 2026. These are approximate site reads, not YouTube views.

Reader-provided transcripts are clearly labeled. Their summaries are public, appear in the library, Trending, and sitemaps, and can be indexed by search engines. We privately cache full transcripts for retries and follow-up analysis; the raw text is not published.
